Bedtime Routine


I am currently taking the Peak Performance Formula course by Ron Friedman. In the course, he recommends having a go-to bedtime routine. Ron presents some top tips for a good evening routine... which I am trying to put into practice. I thought I would share my evening routine here as a way of recording it in two places (journal and online). 

9.20 Bedtime reminder rings.
Over the next hour:
- 15 min of stretching then meditating with a candle / nice music
- 15 min of routine bedtime to-dos: brushing teeth, washing face, lotion, pyjamas on, ensure alarm is on, maybe a bath sometimes. 
- 10 min of 'Tomorrow List' - Answer, 'What would make tomorrow a successful day?' Write down 2-3 outcomes. The key is to focus on solutions. Why do this now? You have a better sense of perspective a few hours after the workday. 
- 10 min of journaling - Generally write about your day
- 10 min of reading - Nothing that will raise alertness (no news, no emails) 

Go to sleep around 10.20 pm. Wake up at 6.40 am.
